Lichess Trainee Guard

Trainee guard for Lichess: applies the thinking time and slow-down set by your coach. Visible status, data stays local.

Lichess Trainee Guard helps you build the habit of thinking before you move. Your coach sends simple commands in a shared Lichess Study chat and the extension applies them on your board: • Think timer: the board stays locked while the countdown runs. • Slow-down: a minimum wait before each move, in analysis and puzzles. • Think first on every new puzzle. • "What is your plan?" questions before you move. • The coach can see your thinking time per move so you can improve together. Transparent by design: a visible status label above the board shows that the guard is on and who the coach is. It is for voluntary coaching use — install it only if you agree with your coach. It does not run on unrelated sites and sends nothing anywhere except the Lichess Study chat you are in. Not affiliated with Lichess.
