# LibreShot – Free Screenshot, Annotation & Screen Recorder LibreShot is a fast, privacy-focused Chrome extension for capturing screenshots and recording browser tabs. Whether you're documenting a bug, creating a tutorial, saving a webpage, or sharing information with colleagues, LibreShot provides the tools you need in a simple, lightweight interface. Everything is processed locally on your device. Your screenshots, recordings, and settings never leave your computer. ## Capture the way you want LibreShot offers several capture modes to suit different tasks. **Visible Tab** captures everything currently visible in your browser window. **Selected Area** lets you drag and capture only the part of the page you need. **Full Page** automatically scrolls and stitches long webpages into a single image. **Element Capture** allows you to capture an individual page element, such as a table, image, button, or card.
