Library Checker shows whether your public library has the book you're looking at, in print, as an eBook or as an audiobook, with hold counts and a rough wait time. No more opening another tab to search the catalog. HOW IT WORKS Install it and pick your library in Settings. Open a book on Goodreads and click Check. The answer appears right on the page. Reading somewhere else? Click the Library Checker icon on a StoryGraph or Amazon book page and press Check library. WHAT YOU SEE • Available now, or every copy is out, with the holds, the copies and an estimated wait • eBook and audiobook availability and waits, where your library lends through Libby • "Library has it (other edition)" when the title is there in a different edition • More than one library? One check covers them all, and a green Best option banner shows where you can read it soonest • A searchable history of everything you've checked, which you can export as CSV or JSON CHECK A WHOLE SHELF Open one of your Goodreads shelves, click one button, and every book on the page gets a badge: available now, on hold with the wait, an eBook you could borrow today, or not in the catalog. FREE AND PREMIUM Free: 5 book checks a day, one shelf scan a day (the first 10 books), up to 2 libraries, eBook and audiobook availability, wait estimates, and history with export. Premium ($5 a month, cancel any time): unlimited checks, whole-shelf scans across every library you chose, up to 5 libraries, one-click buttons that open the library pages for all your available, hold-queue or digital books, and overnight alerts. Library Checker re-checks the books from your scanned shelves every night and shows a count on the toolbar icon, a card in the popup and an email when one becomes available. Desktop notifications are optional. It opens your library's own page so you finish there. • Wait times are estimates worked out from holds and copies, not promises. • You don't need your library card just to check availability. • Whole-shelf scans work on Goodreads shelves. On Amazon (US, Canada, UK and Australia) and StoryGraph, use the toolbar icon; the check button on those pages is optional and needs your permission in Settings. • Libraries are searched through our server so results stay fast.
