Bilingual Mix — Interleaved Audio Maker

Merge two recordings of the same content in different languages into one study track that alternates line by line.

Bilingual Mix takes the same audiobook chapter, podcast episode, course or dialogue that you already have in two languages and turns it into one alternating study track. WHAT YOU GET • Upload recording A (e.g. the Mandarin version) and recording B (the same content in English). • Every line is paired with its counterpart automatically — by meaning, wording and word-level timing, so different speaking speeds are fine. • Before anything is encoded, you review the proposed pairs in a table: both original lines are shown with a match score, and you can preview each clip and uncheck the ones that do not belong together. • The selected lines are cut and joined in the order you choose: A then B, or B then A, with optional pauses between the two languages and between pairs. • Export a standard 192 kbps MP3 (plus a CSV of the pair table if you want the transcript timing). WHY IT HELPS Hearing a familiar sentence immediately followed by the same sentence in the language you are learning keeps the meaning attached to the sound. One thought at a time, no vocabulary quiz. LANGUAGES Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian — any two of them. FREE No account needed: 2 runs a day, 10 minutes of audio per run (both files together). If you already have a bilingualmix.com account, press "Connect account" once and the extension spends from that same quota instead — a free account gets 4 runs / 40 minutes a day, members get 500 minutes a month and up to 45 minutes per run. One quota, counted once, shared between the website and the extension. PRIVACY • Only the two source recordings you pick are uploaded, and only to transcribe them and match the lines. The server does not keep the audio or the transcripts. • Cutting, joining and MP3 encoding run on your device through WebAssembly. The finished track is never uploaded. • No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party scripts. Settings stay in your browser. • Connecting an account is optional: it stores your email and a signed access token in the extension's local storage so runs can be counted against your own quota.
