HydrateOrElse

Water reminders that escalate from a gentle nudge to a screen lock with a camera check. Streaks, friends and duels.

Forget to drink water when you are deep in work? HydrateOrElse reminds you during your working hours, and you decide how strict it should be: a gentle nudge, a screen pause, or a lock that only opens when you take a sip. THREE LEVELS - Soft: a friendly pop-up in the corner. Dismiss it any time. - Medium: your screen pauses for 5 seconds with a funny animation. - Hard: your screen locks until you actually take a sip. A camera check opens in its own tab and sees you drink. It all happens on your computer. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere. BUILT TO NOT BE ANNOYING - Quiet start: waits 10 minutes after you open your laptop or come back from a break. - Pauses during video calls and fullscreen presentations, plus a one-click "I'm in a meeting" pause. - Rough-day mode pauses reminders until tomorrow. Calm mode freezes animations and softens colours for people who are sensitive to screens. - 2 emergency skips a day, so it never traps you. - 15 hand-drawn animations. No flashing. STAY MOTIVATED - Daily goal ring, streaks and points. - Add friends by username, join a weekly league, and challenge a friend to a 1 or 3 day duel. Sign-in with Google is only needed for friends. PRIVACY Works fully offline without an account. If you sign in, only your username, streak and points are stored. Camera frames are never recorded or uploaded. HydrateOrElse is a reminder tool, not medical advice.
