Ewig

Save the exact state of any page to your Ewig archive.

Requires the Ewig app for macOS. Ewig saves the exact state of web pages into a plain folder you own — on your Mac or in your own iCloud Drive — so they still open years later, even when the original site is gone. This extension is the browser front end: click the toolbar button, pick a collection, add a note, choose what to keep (HTML snapshot, PDF, full-page screenshot — a cover image is always saved), and the Ewig app on your Mac does the rest. • One click to save the page you are viewing; the button shows when a page is already saved. • Collections: file the page into any collection, or create a new one from the popup. • Notes and titles are editable in place and save as you type. • Pages behind a login: optionally include the site's cookies for that one save, so the archived copy is the page you see. Off by default; Chrome asks for permission the moment you turn it on. • Nothing leaves your Mac. The extension talks only to the Ewig app on the same computer over native messaging — no server, no account, no analytics. Setup: install Ewig for macOS, open it once, and connect your browser in Ewig ▸ Settings ▸ Browser Extensions. Without the app the extension shows "Ewig isn't running" — it has nowhere to save to. Ewig is free, files-first, and syncs through your own iCloud Drive to iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
