XSLT Prism - XSLT Polyfill, XML Viewer & XSLT Tester
Overview
Restore XSLTProcessor and styled XML in Chrome: an XSLT polyfill (libxslt, WebAssembly) with an XML viewer and XSLT tester.
From November 17, 2026, Chrome will stop applying stylesheet transformations to XML pages. Documents that depend on them may appear as raw source, while some browser-based applications may stop working. XSLT Prism restores that functionality so existing pages and tools can continue working in Chrome. RENDER STYLED XML PAGES When a document references a stylesheet, Prism applies it directly in the current tab. • Display XML pages as intended instead of raw source • Support imported files and parameters • Open and render local documents • Switch between the rendered result and source with Alt+Shift+X RESTORE THE JAVASCRIPT API Some web applications depend on the XSLTProcessor browser API. • Enable support only on sites you choose • Turn it on directly from the extension popup • See an "API" badge when a page requests it • Keep it disabled on unrelated websites SEE WHAT HAPPENED The toolbar popup shows useful information about the current page. • See which stylesheet was used • Check processing time • Review generated messages • Understand why a transformation failed • Pause Prism for a specific site • Disable it globally when needed READ XML MORE EASILY Documents without a stylesheet open in a clean, readable viewer. • Expand and collapse elements • Search within the document • Run XPath queries • Copy element paths • Switch to a line-numbered source view • Copy or save the original file • Work smoothly with large documents BUILT-IN WORKBENCH Prism Workbench gives you a full-tab environment for testing and development. • Edit the document and stylesheet side by side • Preview the result instantly • Inspect the generated source • Review messages and timing • Set parameters • Test XPath expressions • Load live pages for testing • Start from built-in examples PRIVATE AND LIGHTWEIGHT The processing engine runs locally on your device using libxslt compiled to WebAssembly. • No account required • No analytics • No external server • Your documents stay in your browser • Only lightweight detection code runs on regular pages • Long-running operations are stopped before they can freeze the tab
