WHAT'S NEW AND FIXED IN 4.0.0 This release closes a long list of correctness and security issues and adds the features that turn a functional demo into a daily driver. - Fixed a feed-driven cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. All feed content is now rendered as text through a safe DOM builder, and the reader view strips scripts, event handlers, and unsafe tags and attributes at parse time. A strict Content-Security-Policy is enforced. - Fixed unread tracking. Read and unread state is now keyed to a stable article id and preserved across refreshes, so counts are always accurate and never drift or double-count. - Added Atom and RDF/RSS 1.0 support alongside RSS 2.0, using the browser's own parser instead of a brittle legacy code path. - Fixed date handling, with clear relative timestamps such as "2 hours ago". - Fixed broken article sorting with a proper, locale-aware comparator. - Bundled every asset locally — no more CDN stylesheets, fonts, or icons — so the interface is fully styled offline and nothing leaks to third parties. Icons are inline SVG. - Cleaned the manifest, removed dead template code and stale signing metadata, and localized every error message. - Migrated article and read state to chrome.storage, with a one-time automatic import of your existing cache.
