Overview

Capture any element or area in one keystroke, keep a screenshot library, and annotate with arrows, text and redaction.

Take screenshots the fast way. Press ⌘⇧2 (Ctrl+Shift+2 on Windows), then click any part of the page. CLICK ANY ELEMENT Marquee highlights cards, dialogs, images, code blocks and paragraphs as you hover. Click to capture exactly that block, with no fiddly dragging. Press ↑ or ↓ to grow or shrink the selection. OR DRAG ANY AREA Drag to select a region. Hold Shift for a square, or hold Space to move the selection. THE PAGE STAYS PUT Marquee freezes the page the moment you press the shortcut, so tooltips, hover states and open menus stay on screen while you choose what to capture. LONG ELEMENTS AND FULL PAGES Elements taller than your screen are scrolled and stitched together automatically. Full-page capture works with regular pages and with apps that scroll inside a panel, and sticky headers appear only once. COPIED, SAVED AND READY TO DRAG Every capture is copied to your clipboard and saved to your library. A preview card appears, and you can drag the thumbnail into Slack, Gmail, Figma, Finder or any other app. COPY THE TEXT IN ANY SCREENSHOT A "T" badge appears when your screenshot contains text. Click it to copy the text or save it as a file. It reads text straight from the page, and recognizes text in images, videos and PDFs on your device. You can even search your library by the words inside your screenshots. SHRINK IT FOR ANY UPLOAD FORM Site says "max 2 MB"? Click Make smaller and pick 5 MB, 2 MB, 1 MB or 500 KB. Marquee keeps as much detail as possible and gets the file under the limit in about a second. A LIBRARY OF YOUR SHOTS Browse your screenshots by day, search by page or site, and open the library in Chrome's side panel to drag shots into whatever you're working on. ANNOTATE IN SECONDS Arrows, rectangles, ellipses, lines, pen, highlighter, text, numbered steps, pixelate (to hide sensitive information) and crop. Includes undo/redo, zoom and keyboard shortcuts for every tool. Your original is always kept. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Your screenshots never leave your device, and Marquee only reads a page when you ask it to capture that page.
