Highlight difficult English words on the current page, show local dictionary meanings, and optionally read words aloud locally.

LexiNote helps English learners read web pages with less friction. Click the LexiNote icon on the current tab to scan visible English text on that page. Words above the built-in difficulty threshold are highlighted, and hovering a highlighted word shows a local CET dictionary meaning. Optional local read-aloud: - You can turn on "read highlighted words aloud on hover" in the settings page - When enabled, LexiNote uses local Chrome or operating system voices when available - The hovered word is not sent to any server LexiNote is intentionally local-first and minimal: - Runs only after you click the extension icon on the current tab - Uses built-in CET4 and CET6 dictionary data - Shows meanings locally in the page - Can optionally read highlighted words aloud locally - Does not send page text, URLs, browsing history, lookup results, or personal data to any server - Does not use analytics, ads, tracking, accounts, cloud sync, remote code, or AI APIs MVP limitations: - No PDF or image OCR support - No custom dictionary import - No vocabulary notebook or sync - No automatic scanning on every site User Guide: https://dg.aluc.me/Projects/CHROME-LEXINOTE/
