Overview
Never miss a LETUS assignment deadline. Automatically scans your courses and shows upcoming due dates with browser notifications.
LETUS Task Watcher is a Chrome extension that helps you never miss an assignment deadline on LETUS, the LMS of Tokyo University of Science. It also links to your timetable and syllabus from the CLASS course-registration system, so you can manage assignments and classes in one place. Every feature is free. — What it does — ・Automatically visits the assignment pages of your registered courses and collects due dates ・Reminds you with browser notifications 24 hours, 3 hours, and 1 hour before each deadline ・Refreshes your data automatically once a day, and finishes in the background even if you close the popup ・Lists every deadline in the popup and dashboard, highlighting urgency by color (due today = red / due this week = orange) ・Add assignments that aren't auto-detected (e.g. forum posts) manually, and edit their title, deadline, course, memo, or submitted state later; set a deadline yourself when one can't be read ・Automatically imports your timetable from the CLASS system and shows it as a grid, linking timetable courses to LETUS courses ・Automatically adds courses in your timetable to the tracked list (your manual ON/OFF choices are respected) ・Shows syllabus content inside the extension so you can check class details and grading at a glance ・Notifies you when course content (announcements, materials, etc.) is updated — and you can mute this per course ・Mute notifications or change deadline-warning timing per course ・Auto / Light / Dark theme, assignment memos, hide & restore — all free ・Freely choose and manage which courses to track — How to use — 1. Install the extension and accept the Terms of Use 2. Log in to LETUS as usual 3. Open "Course Registration → Student Timetable" in CLASS to import your timetable 4. Select the courses you want to track in the dashboard 5. Press "Update now" to fetch your assignments (after that, it updates automatically once a day) — What's new in v1.3.0 — - Quarter courses (first/second half): timetable cells with two stacked courses now show both, with a first-half/second-half toggle (you choose the period per course). - Honest "couldn't read" reporting: if LETUS page changes ever break reading your courses or assignments, the extension detects it, tells you, and keeps the last successfully fetched data instead of silently going empty. - Better logout detection: being logged out of LETUS is now detected reliably, with a single clear banner. Log back in and everything resumes automatically. - Fixed submission status: unsubmitted assignments could show as "unknown" because LETUS's actual wording didn't match. Now matched to the real page text. - Relative deadlines like "today", "tomorrow", or "in N days" are now recognized. - Internal parsing hardened against future LETUS (Moodle) upgrades. No new permissions. All data stays on your device and is never sent externally. — Privacy — ・Collects no information until you accept the Terms of Use ・Reads only your LETUS assignments and your CLASS timetable/syllabus. It never accesses your grades ・All data is stored inside your browser (chrome.storage.local) and is never sent to any external server ・Communicates only with letus.ed.tus.ac.jp and class.admin.tus.ac.jp. It has no server of its own ・You can delete stored data anytime from the dashboard — Permissions — ・storage: to save assignment data and settings inside your browser ・notifications: to notify you of deadlines and course-content updates ・alarms: to run the once-a-day automatic update ・https://letus.ed.tus.ac.jp/*: to fetch assignment pages using your logged-in session ・https://class.admin.tus.ac.jp/*: to fetch the timetable and syllabus from the CLASS system This extension is independently developed by a student and is not affiliated with Tokyo University of Science, LETUS, or CLASS.
