LetterBoxd Review Guesser
Overview
Guess the movie from a Letterboxd review — read a review snippet and pick the film. Fast, single-player quiz.
LetterBoxd Review Guesser turns Letterboxd list pages into a quick quiz. The extension scans the films on the current Letterboxd list page, fetches review snippets, and builds a set of questions. A full-screen in‑page game UI shows one review at a time — type to search the film list, select your guess and confirm. Earn points for correct answers and view your final score at the end. How it works • Collects film links on the current Letterboxd page. • Fetches review pages for each film (client‑side only) and extracts random review paragraphs as questions. • Presents questions in an embedded game with a searchable film list. • Shows progress while gathering reviews and a final score when the quiz is complete. Key features • Instant quizzes from any Letterboxd list. • Filterable film selector for fast guessing. • Clear feedback on each guess and final score summary. • A version of English only (beta) Permissions & privacy • Requires access to data on letterboxd.com so it can read film links and fetch review pages. • All review fetching and game logic run in the browser. The extension does not send your data to external servers. Tips for best results • Open a Letterboxd list that contains multiple film links. • Use the rating filter to limit questions to reviews with specific star ratings.
