LeNotes — Clip to canvas

Clip any page into your LeNotes vault: a screenshot, the text you selected and your comment, onto a canvas you can draw on.

Clip any web page into your own notes — a screenshot of what you're looking at, the text you selected, and what you have to say about it — onto an infinite canvas you can draw on. One note per site. Everything you clip from github.com lands on one canvas, each clip stacked under the last, so a week of reading about one thing becomes one page you can annotate instead of forty bookmarks. HOW IT WORKS • Click the toolbar icon (or press Alt+Shift+L) on any page. • The visible part of the tab is captured, along with whatever text you had selected. • Add a comment, hit send. It lands in your vault. • Right-click a selection for "Save selection to LeNotes" instead. WHAT IT CAN AND CANNOT SEE This extension asks for one host permission — your own LeNotes server — and nothing else. It reads a page only on the tab whose icon you clicked, only at that moment, under a permission the browser grants per click and revokes when you leave. It has no standing access to your browsing and keeps no history of the pages you visit. Nothing is sent anywhere except your own LeNotes vault. There is no server in the middle, no analytics, no trackers, and no remote code: everything it runs ships inside the extension. SETTING IT UP You need a LeNotes vault at lenotes.ledesign.ai. In LeNotes: Settings → AI assistants → Personal access tokens, choose "Read and write", Generate token, and paste it into the popup. The token is checked immediately, so a typo fails in front of you rather than on your first clip. A write token can create and append; it cannot delete notes. KNOWN LIMITS • The screenshot is the visible viewport, not the whole page. • Pages the browser protects — chrome://, the Web Store, about: — cannot be clipped. The popup says so rather than failing silently. • Clips appear in an already-open LeNotes tab within about 30 seconds, or immediately when you switch to it.
