Dark Mode Anything
Overview
A calmer web. Use dark mode on every website or choose site by site. Your individual preferences always come first.
Meet the softer side of the web. Dark Mode Anything lets you choose which websites get a dark appearance, with an animated day-to-night switch and a popup that follows your website's setting. • Turn dark mode on or off for each website. • Your choices stay saved on this browser for future visits. • Approve each website separately, or allow access to all websites once. • One-time access does not switch dark mode on everywhere. • Optionally turn on dark mode across all websites. Individual site choices always take priority, and switching the global default off keeps them saved. • Use default clears a site override. Opening the popup never replays animation. • The global default starts off. Gmail starts on with dedicated compatibility fixes; you can turn it off and that choice is remembered. • Free to use, with no ads, accounts or analytics in the extension. • Includes keyboard controls and support for reduced-motion preferences. Each hostname is independent: a setting for mail.google.com does not affect other Google apps. Some complex websites may need additional compatibility fixes. Browser settings pages, extension stores and local files cannot be themed. This does not automatically detect or disable a website's own dark theme. Uses a locally bundled Dark Reader engine under its MIT license. Original branding and interface; no affiliation with the Dark Reader browser extension.
