Content SEO Check is a simple, local-only Chrome extension that helps you review the on-page structure of any article or blog post in seconds. It is designed for bloggers, content writers, and SEO users who want a quick check without opening browser DevTools or installing heavy SEO plugins. ## What it shows ### Headings • Full heading hierarchy (H1 to H6) • Count of each heading level • Warnings for common issues (multiple H1s, missing H1, skipped heading levels) • Clean, easy-to-scan list of all headings on the page ### Internal Links • All internal links found on the page • Anchor text and destination URL • Duplicate link detection (same URL used more than once) ### External Links • All external links • Anchor text and destination • Rel attribute status (follow, nofollow, sponsored, ugc) ### Content • In-content internal links only (links inside the main article) • Article word count • Focuses on the main content area and ignores navigation, sidebars, and footers where possible ### Markdown Export • Downloads the main article as a clean .md file • Removes author bio, sidebar content, related posts, comments, and table of contents • Converts headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and tables into proper Markdown • Useful for content repurposing, archiving, or moving articles between tools ## How it works 1. Open any article or blog post. 2. Click the Content SEO Check icon. 3. Switch between tabs to review headings, links, and content. 4. Use the Markdown tab to download a clean article file. Everything runs locally in your browser. The extension only analyzes the page you are currently viewing.
