Legend: Instant Meaning for Any ID or Code

Overview
Select any ID, code, or acronym and see what it really means. Your own personal key-value store, right on any page.
Legend is your personal key-value store for the web. Ever come across an ID, code, ticket number, account number, or internal acronym that means something to you or your team, but nothing to everyone else? With Legend, save the meaning once and retrieve it instantly whenever you see it. How it works: 1. Add a key and its meaning in Legend. 2. Visit any webpage where that key appears. 3. Select the key. 4. Legend instantly shows your saved meaning in a tooltip. For example: 66956225471 → AWS-Account#86 TXN-4471 → Transaction ID of client Acme ORD-58213 → Customer shipment - India-KA-BLR Legend is designed for information that isn't searchable on Google because the meaning is specific to you, your team, or your organization. Features: • Instant lookup by selecting text on a webpage • Personal key-value store • Add, edit, search, and delete entries • Optional "Suggest add" when selected text has no saved meaning • Works with text fields and modern web editors • Supports content inside embedded frames • Import and export your entries as JSON • Light and dark themes • Tooltip stays readable regardless of the webpage's theme Your entries are stored locally in Chrome using the extension's local storage. Legend doesn't need a remote account or backend to work. Built for anyone who regularly works with identifiers, codes, references, or terminology that only makes sense in their own context.
