Provetag: Tracking Plan QA

Test a tracking plan against real GA4 events and dataLayer pushes, then export a client-ready QA report.

Provetag turns a tracking plan into a repeatable browser QA session. Import a CSV exported from Google Sheets or Excel, start capture on the tab you are testing, and complete the customer journey. Provetag compares the observed GA4 events and dataLayer pushes with every rule in your plan. For each requirement, you get one clear verdict: • Passed — an observed event satisfies the complete rule. • Failed — the event was observed, but a required parameter or Measurement ID is wrong. • Not observed — no matching event appeared during the test journey. Provetag can validate event names, GA4 or dataLayer source, required parameters, Measurement ID, and page URL conditions. Open Live events when you need the decoded payload, duplicate-hit warnings, or raw JSON. Export a standalone HTML report with the verdicts and captured evidence. The recipient can open it without installing Provetag. Privacy by design: • Capture starts only after you confirm Start capture in the toolbar popup. • Access is limited to the current tab and ends when the domain changes. • Tracking data is processed and stored locally in the browser session. • No captured analytics payload is uploaded to Provetag. • No Provetag account is required. Free includes live GA4/dataLayer inspection, implementation warnings, filters, and JSON export. Importing your first tracking plan starts a 7-day Pro trial. After the trial, tracking-plan verdicts and HTML reports require a $39 one-time individual Pro license. Current limits: top-level page only; no cross-origin iframe inspection, server-only event validation, scheduled monitoring, or team workspace.
