Open a company website, press Scan, and LeadProof reads relevant pages such as About, Team, Contact, Staff, and Leadership pages. Instead of simply collecting email addresses, LeadProof connects each contact to the page and evidence where it was found. WHY THE EVIDENCE MATTERS Most email finders answer a simple question: “What email addresses are on this website?” LeadProof answers a more useful question: “Which contacts have supporting evidence, and why?” Every lead has an evidence panel showing what LeadProof found and how the available signals contributed to its confidence and lead score. Evidence can include: • Person detected on the website • Job title or role detected • Profile page found on the same domain • Information published in structured data • Email domain matches the business website • Person and email are connected on the site • Email address matches the person's name • The same contact appears on multiple pages • Contact information found on an About, Team, or similar page The score is built directly from these signals. The evidence explains the score rather than presenting a number without context. For example: john@company.com → personal contact info@company.com → role address sales@company.com → role address Role addresses are identified as such rather than being presented as individual people. WHAT LEADPROOF WILL NOT DO LeadProof reports what a website actually publishes instead of filling gaps with guesses. • It will not invent a person. • It will not guess a person's name from an email address. • It will not present a role address as a personal contact. • It will not claim that an email address is verified unless mail-server verification has confirmed that the domain accepts mail. • It will not manufacture leads from incomplete information. • If a website only provides a contact form and no usable contact information, LeadProof will report that honestly. PRIVACY-FIRST EMAIL AND LEAD EXTRACTION LeadProof processes website content locally in your browser. Scanned pages and extracted lead data are not uploaded to a LeadProof server for processing. Results are stored locally in your browser. LeadProof only contacts external services when you explicitly use features that require them. Freemius is used to check a licence key you enter, and Cloudflare's DNS resolver is used for optional mail-server verification. Neither receives your scanned leads. No account is required to use the free experience. LeadProof does not access websites continuously. It requests temporary access to the site you choose when you press Scan.
