Scoped bookmarks for Chrome: links tied to a page or URL pattern that show up only when you're there. 🧭 What is Jumpmark Dock? Jumpmark Dock is a Chrome extension for managing "scoped bookmarks." Regular bookmarks show the same list no matter which page you're on, but a Jumpmark appears in the popup only when you open the page it was created on (its scope). It's perfect when the links you need depend on what you're working on β€” a ChatGPT thread, a Notion page, a GitHub issue, and so on. πŸ”§ Key Features ● View a list of shortcut links tied to the currently open URL ● Add, edit, and delete shortcuts directly from the popup ● Bidirectional links: when you add a link from page A to page B, a link back from B to A can be created at the same time ● Fill in the title and URL by picking one of your open tabs ("Choose from open tabs") ● Add * (a wildcard) to the end of the source URL to widen the scope to every page under it ● The extension icon shows how many shortcuts are in the current page's scope ● Export your data as JSON, CSV, or HTML, and import it from JSON ● Available in English and Japanese, with dark mode support πŸ’‘ Example Use Cases ● Save links to reference documents or blog drafts for each ChatGPT thread ● Organize related URLs (articles, GitHub issues, etc.) tied to a Notion page ● Keep project bookmarks attached to your own Google Sheets ● Jump from a GitHub repo's deployment page to its live URL πŸ”„ About Sync ● Data is stored in Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.sync) ● When Chrome Sync is enabled: - Your Jumpmarks are synced through Google's servers to other devices signed in to Chrome with the same Google account - Existing Jumpmarks become available on your other devices ● When Chrome Sync is disabled: - Data is kept only in Chrome on this device πŸ”’ Privacy ● Shortcuts are saved, displayed, and matched within your browser ● The extension never sends data to external servers on its own (except syncing through Google when Chrome Sync is enabled) ● Tab URLs and titles are read only for the features above (showing shortcuts for the current page, the badge count, switching to an already-open tab, and the open-tab list), and are not saved unless you register them as a shortcut ● The list of open tabs is read only when you open it in the add form ● No browsing history is recorded or tracked
