Multi-Monitor for Remote Desktop
Overview
Works with Chrome Remote Desktop: show each remote display in its own window, one per local screen.
Use every monitor of your remote computer on your own monitors. Chrome Remote Desktop can show all of a remote computer's displays, but only squeezed side by side into one browser tab. This extension gives each remote display its own window, so you can put remote display 1 on your left screen and remote display 2 on your right one, each fullscreen. FEATURES • One window per remote display, placed on the local screen you choose, fullscreen if you like. • Keep one remote display in the Chrome Remote Desktop tab and the others in their own windows. • Mouse, wheel and keyboard work in every window, including dragging a window from one display to another and dropping it on the top edge to maximize. • Optional capture of system keys (Win, Alt+Tab, Alt+F4, Ctrl+W…) so they reach the remote computer instead of yours. • Controls live in a "Multi-Monitor" section of Chrome Remote Desktop's own side panel, matching its look. • Nothing is re-encoded: each window plays the remote display's own video stream at full quality. HOW TO USE 1. Connect to your computer on remotedesktop.google.com. 2. In the side panel (arrow on the right edge) → Displays, choose "Show all displays". 3. In the Multi-Monitor section below it, pick a local screen for each remote display and click Open (or Open all). For "Open all" to open several windows at once, allow pop-ups for remotedesktop.google.com. PRIVACY Everything happens inside your browser. The extension collects nothing, sends nothing anywhere, has no analytics and loads no remote code. It only stores its own settings locally.
