The file:/// permission is required to render local Markdown files. The manifest CSP contains 'wasm-unsafe-eval' which is used exclusively by Viz.js (Graphviz renderer) to execute its WebAssembly engine client-side. No external WASM is loaded. The only external network request is to plantuml.com, used solely to render PlantUML diagram source blocks into SVG images. No user data is transmitted.
