Bridgefold connects your AI provider or Cursor to a side panel beside your current tab. Ask about a page, collect information, or let the agent navigate, click and type with the access level you choose. CONNECT YOUR AI Bridgefold 0.7.3 requires Chrome 116+ and a usable AI connection. OpenAI-compatible API tasks run directly from the extension: no native host, Node.js or Cursor installation is required for this path. Choose OpenAI or OpenRouter and paste your API key; the endpoint and model are filled in. Other provider lets you enter an HTTPS API URL and model ID. Allow access to that provider's origin. Connecting sends short compatibility test requests, including built-in image data, and may use API credit. A model must support tools, tool results and images. Provider policies, usage limits and charges apply. Your API key is encrypted in this Chrome profile and restored after restarting Chrome. Disconnect/Forget deletes the saved credential. Trusted extension code can decrypt it; this is not an OS keychain or protection against a compromised profile. Browser chat history stays bounded on this computer; interrupted tasks do not automatically resume and old chats are not silently rebound to a new provider. Cursor is a separate, optional connection using the Bridgefold native host 0.7.3 (com.bridgefold.host) and usable Cursor account access. Cursor companion bootstrap and clean-machine native distribution remain qualification gates for this candidate; automatic IDE setup is not promised. Native candidate targets are macOS arm64 and Linux x64; Windows native distribution is deferred. Your prompt and relevant content from the tab you choose (URL/title, visible text and accessibility details, screenshots, and console or network summaries when needed) go directly to your configured API endpoint for browser API tasks, or through the local host for a native Cursor connection. Browser API history and preferences are stored locally in Chrome; native task history and native account credentials use the host's own stores. Optional dictation uses Chrome speech recognition; Bridgefold retains text, not audio recordings. Chrome shows its debugger warning during page inspection/control. The extension has no static content scripts; packaged page helpers inject on demand after an origin grant. No advertising or developer usage analytics. The developer does not automatically receive prompts, page content, account keys or task history. Providers process data under their own terms and policies. Your data is not sold. TRY A DEMO Try a demo without an account. This labelled local walkthrough uses scripted replies; it cannot read pages or prove provider access. Demo chats and automation drafts last until reload or exit. HOW IT WORKS • Keep a task attached to its starting tab and additional tabs opened for that task. • Ask about page content, selected text and screenshots. • Follow the task plan, progress and tool activity beside the page. • Choose read-only access, confirmation for actions, or automatic reversible actions. Detected password, payment-card and one-time-code inputs are blocked. • Stop a task at any time, including with Cancel on Chrome's debugging bar. • Optionally dictate prompts using Chrome speech recognition. Routines, memory, MCP, cloud execution and Continue in Cursor require the optional native connection; they are not available in browser API mode. Advertised native availability depends on completed qualification. AI can make mistakes. Review answers and page changes; safeguards do not identify every sensitive action.
