Numrow Video Seek Guard

Stops number-row keys from triggering seek shortcuts in video players, on any keyboard layout. Hold Shift to let them through.

Number row keys on a keyboard are interpreted as shortcuts to "skip to 10%, 20%..." while watching a video; consequently, a simple accidental press causes you to lose your place in the video. This extension blocks these unintentional skips. Intentional skips remain possible: simply hold down the Shift key while pressing the corresponding key. When watching a video : - Pressing a number row key without the Shift key no longer causes the video to skip. - Typing in text fields, using the numeric keypad, and browser shortcuts (such as Ctrl+1) continue to work normally. - Pages that do not contain a video or audio player are unaffected. - The same applies to video calls, remote desktop sessions, and games that capture the mouse, even if they involve video or audio. - No data collected, no network requests, nothing to configure
