The Early Access Release/ Tech preview of Citrix Workspace app The purpose of this EAR is to ensure that everything works in your enterprise using Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS. It is supported only on ChromeOS endpoints. What's new This release is compatible with ChromeOS versions 152 and 154. This release addresses areas that improve overall performance and stability. - Enhancement of Audio Playback: Starting with the 2607 release, Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS supports enhanced audio playback over lossy networks. This feature maintains clear audio during brief network disruptions and adapts to network conditions, ensuring consistent audio performance during playback. - USB Diagnostic Tool Support: Starting with 2607 version, Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS now supports the USB Diagnostics Tool. This command-line utility operates on the Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) to assist Citrix administrators. This tool helps the administrators diagnose and resolve issues with USB device redirection on the client. It provides a quick way to troubleshoot problems within an HDX session by collecting the essential information to triage configuration issues related to USB devices. These USB devices attached to the client fail to redirect into an HDX session. - Addition of new data points to deviceTRUST with Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS: Starting with version 2607, Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS adds on new properties support. - Synchronization for Lock Key States: Starting with version 2607, Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS introduces enhanced synchronization for lock key states (Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock) with the client state. This feature ensures consistent behavior of Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock within your session and it continues even when you switch to your local tasks. It remains consistent when you return to the session. - Auto Client Reconnect: Starting with version 2607, Auto Client Reconnect (ACR) feature ensures session continuity by automatically re-establishing connections when Session Reliability cannot recover an interrupted session. If the Session Reliability timeout expires before network connectivity is restored, the Citrix Workspace app attempts to reconnect to the same session. This reconnection uses a server-issued reconnect cookie, allowing you to resume your session from where you left off without needing to reauthenticate. - Give or Take Control in Microsoft Teams Optimization: Starting with version 2607, you can manage screen sharing control during meetings. This feature allows participants to interact with a shared screen using keyboard, mouse, and clipboard input. - Fixed issues - Citrix Director might incorrectly display endpoint CPU usage for CWA ChromeOS devices. The metric sometimes might show over 90% even when the device remains idle. - When you copy an entire table or a worksheet from Microsoft Excel within a Citrix Workspace app for ChromeOS session, the copy operation might fail and a clipboard error message might appear. With the legacy graphics mode enabled, a black screen might appear in sessions running on 7.6 VDAs. We recommend setting the Legacy Graphics Mode to Disabled.
