some apps don't show up

why do some apps that I can launch from the store (besides launchpad itself!) not show up? is there any way I can make them do so?

google read and write won't work

launchpad needs editing

if i could edit what shows up in the launchpad and remove the icons i dont use it would be better. also if there were google docks and slides added too.
