Launch Pad turns every new tab into a personal dashboard — search, quick links, and a grid of productivity widgets you control, all running locally in your browser. SEARCH A search bar that uses Chrome's own Search API, so it always searches through whichever engine you've already set as your default — no separate engine picker, no extension-chosen provider. Local suggestions are drawn from your own browsing history and bookmarks as you type. QUICK LINKS & ORGANIZATION - Quick Links with auto-resolved favicons, drag-and-drop reordering, and compact or speed-dial layouts - Workspaces — a multi-column system for organizing links by project, topic, or context, with drag-and-drop between columns - A command palette (Ctrl/Cmd+K) for jumping straight to any view or action WIDGETS Pick and arrange only what you want from a drag-and-drop, resizable grid: - Clock and Calendar - Weather, with location-based forecasts - Currency Converter and Finance (stock ticker lookup) - RSS reader with multi-feed support - GitHub contributions graph - Daily Quotes and Word of the Day - Browser History (recent and most-visited pages) - Music player with playlist controls - Network speed test and connection status - Notes & Reminders with a full markdown editor, tags, priorities, and due dates FOCUS & OTHER MODES - Focus Mode — a distraction-free Pomodoro-style timer - Workout Mode and Board Mode for structured routines and task boards AI SIDEBAR (OPTIONAL) Bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key to chat from the sidebar. Off by default; when enabled, your messages go directly from your browser to the provider you chose — Launch Pad has no server and never sees this traffic. PERSONALIZATION Built-in wallpapers plus custom uploads, color palettes, adjustable glass/blur effects, prebuilt themes across multiple styles, and font/size customization — everything applies instantly and persists between sessions. SYNC & BACKUP Optionally sync your core preferences across devices using Chrome's own built-in sync — no separate account or server required. Export or import your full setup as a JSON backup at any time. PRIVACY Launch Pad has no backend and no account system. Your history and bookmarks are read locally to power suggestions and widgets and are never transmitted anywhere. Widgets that need external data (weather, exchange rates, stock quotes, etc.) talk directly to the relevant public API — never through a Launch Pad server.
