Latinae — Latin reader
Overview
Click any Latin word for instant dictionary lookup, automatic parsing, and inline macron annotations.
Latinae is a Chrome reading companion for Latin. Open the sidepanel on any webpage with Latin text and Latinae will scan every word, attaching dictionary glosses and full grammatical parses to a vocab list at the side. Click any word in the page to scroll to its card and see every possible morphological reading. Optional inline macron annotation marks long vowels in place, so you can read scansion-correct Latin without flipping between text and a separate macron-aware copy. Built for students reading Caesar / Cicero / Vergil from sources like The Latin Library, Perseus Digital Library, or Wikisource — but works on any webpage that has Latin words. What you get ☀️Side-by-side reading: page on the left, vocab cards on the right ☀️Instant dictionary lookups ☀️Automatic morphological parsing (24,000 lemmas, 1.96M forms) ☀️Inline macron annotation, toggleable per page ☀️Search the vocab list by lemma or gloss
