Save any article with one click and read it later, even offline. LaterVault keeps your entire reading list on your own computer. No account. No cloud. No subscription. No tracking. Pocket shut down in July 2025 and took millions of reading lists with it. Omnivore closed the year before. Any reading list that lives on someone else's server can disappear. LaterVault is built so that can never happen: every article you save is stored in your browser, readable forever, and exportable to a plain JSON file whenever you want. WHAT IT DOES • Save the current page with one click, a right-click, or Ctrl+Shift+S • Articles are cleaned into a distraction-free reader view (the same Readability engine Firefox uses) • Full-text search across everything you have ever saved • Light and dark reading themes, adjustable text size • Works offline: saved articles open with no connection MOVING FROM POCKET OR OMNIVORE Import your Pocket export file (HTML or CSV) or Omnivore JSON in seconds. LaterVault can then download the readable text of every imported article so your old reading list becomes a real offline library, not a pile of dead links. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS LaterVault collects nothing and sends nothing. There is no server, no sign-up, no analytics. Export your whole library to JSON at any time. If you ever stop using LaterVault, you take everything with you. PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY LaterVault only touches a page when you save it (that is the "read the page you click on" permission). Downloading text for imported articles is optional and asks for access only when you press the button.
