Lantern shows you the automated license plate readers (ALPR) and surveillance cameras around you — from live, public OpenStreetMap data. Know what's watching your street, your route, and your home. WHAT IT DOES • Check any spot — click the toolbar icon, use your location or type an address, and see the cameras within 1, 3 and 5 miles, the nearest one, and the top vendors nearby, on a clean mini-map. • See them ON your map — while you're on Google Maps, Apple Maps or OpenStreetMap, Lantern overlays every ALPR camera right on top of the map, with Flock Safety highlighted in bright amber, so you can see what's watching your route before you drive it. • Watch your home area — set a home spot and the toolbar icon shows a live camera count, with a notification whenever a new license plate reader appears within 5 miles. • Right-click any address on any page → "Check ALPR cameras near…" opens the map there. Great on real-estate and news sites. • See the individual cameras with facing-direction arrows, vendor, and distance, and copy a shareable summary in one tap. PRIVACY-FIRST • No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing you do is sent to us. • Your location never leaves your browser except as the map area sent to the public OpenStreetMap query service to look up nearby cameras. • All camera data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
