LangJack
Overview
LangJack: Linguistic morphological analyzer and interlinear glosser powered by hfst-js, UralicNLP dictionaries, UD, and Ve'rdd.
LangJack V1.0: Your Pocket Linguistic Lab 🗣️ LangJack is a finite-state linguistic tool powered by open-source tech: hfst-js, UralicNLP dictionaries, Universal Dependencies, and Ve'rdd. Since 1996, author Jack Rueter has been crafting finite-state descriptions for Uralic and other languages. Now, instead of wrestling with heavy linguistics software, LangJack brings it all to a simple interface. Languages: Finnish, all Saamic varieties, Komi, Udmurt, Mordvin, Mari—and expandable! Dictionaries: Over 1.5 million translation pairs (like Smi:Eng, Eng:Smi). You can even add your own .TSV files. Workflow: Right-click a word for instant translation. Analyze whole sentences, toggle between morphology and translations, export Conllu, or save to an accumulating treebank. LangJack is still evolving—stay tuned for updates! Suggestions welcome.
