Overview

Instant broker risk signals on the DAT One load board — vet a broker before you call, without leaving the page.

LaneScout adds an at-a-glance risk badge to every broker on the DAT One load board, so dispatchers and small carriers can spot the postings worth a second look before they pick up the phone. Each badge is built from public FMCSA data and neutral, factual signals — never an accusation: • Authority age (how recently the MC was granted or reinstated) • Contact checks (posting phone/email vs. the broker's FMCSA record) • Recent record changes (address/phone/email changed on the FMCSA file) • Address & contact clustering (one identity shared across many MC numbers) • Bond status and "not found in the broker census" flags • Look-alike booking domains hidden in the load comments Badges are color-tiered — Clear / Caution / High Risk — with a one-click detail panel that shows exactly which signals fired and why, plus the date the FMCSA data was pulled. How it works • Reads the load board in your browser and shows the badge inline — no extra tabs, no copy-paste. • Only the broker identifier (company name / phone / email / MC#) is sent for the risk lookup. • It never stores or resends the load data on your screen (rates, lanes, postings stay on DAT). • If a lookup fails, it shows nothing and never slows the board down. Free to use. Sign in (free) to unlock the full broker dossier and to report an impersonation contact to the community. Built by a working dispatcher. LaneScout is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to DAT Solutions or FMCSA. Signals are informational aids, not a determination about any company or person — always verify independently before making a booking decision.
