LAN Device Bridge
Overview
Connect approved websites to Dahua, Hikvision and local network device APIs.
LAN Device Bridge connects websites you explicitly approve to compatible Dahua and Hikvision device HTTP APIs through Google Chrome. Add a device in Settings, enter its address and credentials, then use the extension popup to grant a website access to a selected device. The website must integrate the LAN Device Bridge SDK. The extension does not automatically integrate with every camera website. Features include device configuration and connection testing, HTTP Digest MD5/MD5-SESS or Basic authentication, grants per website origin and device, grant revocation, and up to 200 recent local activity log entries. Read-only restricts requests to GET/HEAD; Full Device API permits supported HTTP methods. GET requests can still have side effects on some devices. Configuration, credentials and activity logs are stored locally in the extension. Passwords are not returned to websites by the SDK. Approved websites can receive device metadata, including username and host address, and device API responses. Those websites handle responses under their own policies. The extension does not apply a separate application encryption layer to stored credentials. A reachable compatible device and an SDK-integrated website are required. Use trusted websites, HTTPS when available, and device accounts with minimal privileges. This is an independent extension, not an official product of Dahua, Hikvision or Microsoft. The interface defaults to English and includes a Vietnamese option.
