Lakay — Haiti New Tab

A little piece of Haiti in every new tab. Enjoy credited photography, add your photos, or rotate your collection.

Bring a little piece of home to every new tab. Lakay replaces your Chrome New Tab page with a personal wallpaper collection. Start with three photographs — Sunset at Sea and Djètski by Rodolphe Gilles (@gilles675), and Coastal Escape by Stanley Desvoliere (@dvo_509) — or add your own favorite images. Each included photograph displays its photographer's name and a link to their Instagram. MAKE IT YOURS • Choose a wallpaper from a visual gallery. • Add your own PNG, JPG, or WebP images, up to 20 MB each. • Keep a favorite selected or rotate the collection on each new tab. • Show the whole photograph, or fill the screen. • Show or hide a clearly labeled Google search box. YOUR PHOTOS STAY LOCAL Added images and settings are saved in your browser profile. They are not uploaded to the developer or synced between devices. No account is required to use the extension. There are no ads or analytics, and the extension requests no browsing permissions. Submitting the optional Google search box opens Google Search with the words you entered. Google receives that query under its own privacy policy. Lakay does not change your default browser search provider. WHAT CHANGES Lakay changes the New Tab page, not Chrome's toolbar or the pages you visit. The included photographs replace the previous AI-generated wallpaper collection. All are preserved at their original resolution: two landscape photos at 4000 × 2250 pixels and one portrait photo at 1200 × 1500 pixels. Click Customize to find your next view of home.
