Document any process. As you do it. Naviscroll records the steps and screenshots while you work, then writes them up as a clean, numbered procedure you can edit, redact and share. No account, no sign-up, and no server holding your documents. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the side panel and press Start. 2. Do the task. Every click and form entry is captured with a screenshot taken the moment before you clicked, marked at the exact spot you clicked. 3. Press Stop. The procedure is already written and saved. 4. Tidy the wording, cover anything sensitive, apply a style, and export. WHAT YOU GET • A numbered document where every step carries its own screenshot and click marker. • An editor that IS the document. There is no preview mode, so what you edit is exactly what you export. • Masking. Likely-sensitive fields are covered automatically, and you can draw a solid block or a blur over anything else. Masks are baked into the image pixels, so an exported file holds no recoverable sensitive content. • Four ways out of the same document: PDF, a self-contained HTML page, Markdown, or straight to the clipboard. • Four document types: Internal SOP, Training Guide, Client Deliverable and Compliance SOP, each carrying the sections that type expects. • A local library with search, tags, favourites and collections. • Styles that add your logo, colours and fonts. A style changes appearance only, never content. NEW IN 5.1.0 • A real PDF. Naviscroll writes the file itself instead of handing it to the browser's print dialogue, so no browser headers, footers or page addresses land on your document. • Predictable pages. The title and front matter take page one, the steps begin on page two, and every page after that carries two steps. • A "Go to page" link on each step, so a reader can open the screen that step describes. • Custom dropdowns that commit a choice on press now record the option chosen, not just the field. PRIVACY IS THE ARCHITECTURE, NOT A SETTING • Everything runs in your browser. Capture, screenshots, masking and the built-in document generator never leave your machine. • There is no account, no sign-up and no server holding anyone's documents. • Typed values are never stored. Naviscroll records THAT a field was filled in, never what you typed into it. • Your library lives in your browser's own local storage. • HTML exports are single self-contained files that load nothing from anywhere. OPTIONAL CLOUD AI, OFF BY DEFAULT The built-in document generator is offline. If you choose to turn on cloud drafting you supply your own API key, and only the document title, your tone and verbosity choices and the per-step text are sent to the provider you picked. Screenshots and masked content are never sent. WHAT IT COSTS Nothing. Naviscroll is free. It is a personal project, not a company. REQUIREMENTS Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Browser-internal pages and the extension stores cannot be captured, which is a browser restriction rather than a Naviscroll one. GOOD TO KNOW • Native dropdowns record the field, never the option chosen. This is deliberate: the chosen option is treated like typed text, which is never recorded. • Automatic masking is a heuristic. Review your screenshots before you share them.
