Overview
Print or export any Gmail label, folder or search result as a clean list and CSV. Free, no sign-in, fully local.
Your boss asks for a list of every email in the "Invoices Q2" label. You need it printed or in a spreadsheet. Gmail gives you no way to do this. You can print a single email. You can print an entire thread. But you cannot print a list of emails in a label, a folder, or a search result. There is no "export this view" button. No CSV download. No print-friendly list format. So you start copy-pasting. Sender names, subject lines, dates. One by one. Into a spreadsheet. Thirty emails later, you have wasted 20 minutes on something that should take 5 seconds. This extension prints or exports any Gmail email list as a clean, formatted table. Open a label, a folder, or run a search. Click the printer button. Get a printable page or a CSV file. Done. WHY GMAIL HAS NO LIST PRINT Gmail was designed for reading individual emails, not for managing email lists. When you need to see your emails as a structured list, you hit walls: - No print view for email lists. Gmail only prints individual messages. There is no way to print a summary of what is in a label or search result. - No CSV export. If you need email metadata in a spreadsheet, Gmail offers no export. You have to use Google Takeout, which exports everything, not just one label. - No overview format. Labels and search results show emails in a scrolling list, but there is no condensed view you can print or save. - Search results are ephemeral. You run a search, see the results, but there is no way to save or share that list without screenshots. This extension fills that gap by turning any Gmail email list into a printable table or downloadable CSV. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES Label Printer for Gmail adds a floating button to the Gmail interface. When you are viewing any email list - your inbox, a label, a folder, or search results - click the button to open a panel. The panel shows a summary of the current list and gives you two export options: Print or CSV. Here is what you get: Print as Table - Click "Print" and a new tab opens with a clean, formatted table of every email in the current list. Each row shows the sender, subject line, date, and optional snippet. Unread emails are bold. Stars and attachment icons are included. Click "Print / Save as PDF" to print or save. CSV Export - Click "CSV" and a CSV file downloads instantly. It includes sender, subject, snippet, date, unread status, attachment status, and starred status for every email. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool. List Summary - The panel shows a quick overview before you export: total email count, unread count, and attachment count. You know exactly what you are exporting. Snippet Toggle - Choose whether to include message snippets (the first line of each email) in your print output. Toggle it on for context, off for a cleaner list. Smart Title Detection - The extension detects whether you are viewing Inbox, a specific label, or search results, and uses that as the title for your printout. Works Everywhere in Gmail - Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Starred, any custom label, any search result. If Gmail shows it as a list, this extension can print or export it. Scroll to Load - Gmail loads emails in batches as you scroll. The extension captures whatever is currently loaded. Scroll down to load more rows before exporting if you need the full list. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. No sign-in, no setup. 2. Open Gmail and navigate to any label, folder, or search result. 3. Click the printer button in the bottom right corner. 4. See the summary: email count, unread count, attachment count. 5. Click "Print" for a printable page, or "CSV" for a spreadsheet file. Two clicks from Gmail to a formatted list. No copy-pasting. No screenshots. REAL SCENARIOS WHERE THIS HELPS Accounting and audits: Your accountant asks for a list of all invoice emails from Q1. Open the "Invoices" label, scroll to load them all, click Print. Hand over a clean PDF with sender, subject, and date for every invoice. Legal discovery: You need to document all emails from a specific sender during a date range. Search for them in Gmail, export as CSV. The spreadsheet has every email with timestamps and metadata. Project reporting: Your project label has 80 emails. You need to show your manager what communication happened this month. Print the list with snippets included. A one-page summary of the entire project thread. IT administration: You manage a shared mailbox and need to report on email volume by label. Export each label as CSV, combine in a spreadsheet, create a report. What used to take an hour takes 5 minutes. Personal organization: You want to see everything in your "Apartment Search" label at a glance. Print the list, review it on paper, cross out the ones you have already contacted. Email migration: You are switching email providers and need a record of what is in each Gmail label. Export each one as CSV for your records before migrating. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - Does not require any login or sign-in. - Does not access Gmail API or request OAuth tokens. - Does not read email body content. Only sender, subject, snippet, date, and status flags from the list view. - Does not make any network requests to external servers. - Does not store your email data. Exports are generated on the fly and not saved by the extension. - Does not track usage, run analytics, or share data with third parties. The only permission it needs: - storage - To remember your settings: whether to show the floating button and whether to include snippets. That is it. Everything runs locally. The extension reads the Gmail list DOM, builds a table or CSV in memory, and outputs it. Nothing is sent anywhere. FREE AND UNLIMITED No account required. No trial period. No feature limits. No premium tier. Print or export any list, any time. Install it. Print your lists. That is the deal.
