kura
Overview
Serverless password manager. Store your encrypted vault in your own S3-compatible storage. No subscription, no vendor lock-in.
kura is a password manager that stores your encrypted vault as a single file in your own S3-compatible storage — no account, no server, no subscription fee. HOW IT WORKS Set up kura with any S3-compatible service: AWS S3, Cloudflare R2 (free tier available), MinIO, or any other compatible provider. Your vault is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves it. The storage provider only sees an encrypted blob. FEATURES • Autofill — Automatically fills usernames and passwords on web pages • Password generator — Create strong, customizable passwords • Offline-first — Works from a local cache when you're offline. Syncs automatically when connectivity is restored • Multi-device sync — Your vault syncs across all your devices through your S3 bucket. Conflicts are resolved automatically • Zero-knowledge encryption — AES-256-GCM vault encryption with Argon2id key derivation. Your master password never leaves your device • Recovery key — Generated during setup. If you forget your master password, the recovery key lets you set a new one • Trash & restore — Deleted items go to trash and can be restored before permanent deletion PRIVACY kura communicates only with the S3 endpoint you configure. No telemetry, no analytics, no third-party servers. See our privacy policy for details. OPEN SOURCE kura is open source (Apache-2.0). Source code is available on GitHub.
