kuma
Overview
Stop Doomscrolling & Shorts
kuma puts a speed bump between you and the algorithmic feed. Instead of dropping you straight into an endless feed, kuma hides it by default. To open it, you press Unlock and wait a few seconds first — just enough friction to break autopilot. There's no forced session length and no lockout. When you're done, hiding the feed (or reloading) re-arms the speed bump, so the friction comes back naturally. kuma also shows you how much you actually doomscroll: time on feed, downward scrolls, and unlocks per day, with a rolling 7-day view. SUPPORTED FEEDS • X / Twitter — the "For You" feed • YouTube — home recommendations and Shorts • Instagram — the home feed HOW IT WORKS • Blocks the feed by default and replaces it with a calm kuma card in the feed's own space. • Chronological feeds (X Following, YouTube Subscriptions) stay visible — unless you choose to block those too. • A short countdown runs before the feed reveals, shown as a depleting ring. Back out any time during the countdown. • Configure each platform and each surface (feed, shorts, explore) independently: off, delay, hold, or block. PRIVACY kuma does not collect or transmit any data. Everything stays on your device — no accounts, no analytics, no servers. See the privacy policy for details.
