No account is required, and your time logs, reports, settings, and category corrections remain stored locally in your browser. How does K'TrackTime work? K'TrackTime quietly tracks time spent on the active browser tab. It pauses when your browser is unfocused or you are idle, helping keep reports accurate. For website categorization, the extension sends bounded, sanitized page context to the hosted KTrackTime classification API. Query parameters, fragments, credentials, cookies, form values, private messages, and other sensitive fields are excluded. The returned category is saved locally and reused for unchanged pages, reducing unnecessary requests and improving performance. What stays private? Your recorded durations and activity history are not uploaded to KTrackTime. They remain in your browser’s local storage. Only the sanitized context needed to categorize a page is processed by the classification API.
