It runs local detection for names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, account numbers, URLs, dates, and secrets such as API keys or tokens. Users should install it to reduce the risk of accidentally exposing private information when using ChatGPT, Claude, or browser text fields. Kraken adds a visible anonymization button, right-click redaction actions, and optional automatic prompt redaction before send.
