MCS Watch & Protect AI

Reports AI service usage (visits, paste size, file uploads) to the MCS dashboard. Does not capture content.

MCS Watch & Protect AI is an enterprise monitoring tool deployed by IT administrators on company-managed devices. It is not intended for personal use. The extension records which generative-AI services are accessed from a managed device, so that the organization can understand its exposure to AI tools and enforce its acceptable-use policy. What it records: • Which generative-AI web service was visited, from a list defined by the organization's administrator • The number of characters pasted into an AI service - not the text itself • The name, size and type of files uploaded to an AI service • The machine name, supplied by the organization's device policy What it does not record: • The content of conversations, prompts or replies • Passwords, credentials or authentication tokens • The user's identity or browsing on any other website Administrators can also block access to specific AI services. A blocked service shows a notice page instead of the site. The extension is configured centrally by the organization through Chrome enterprise policy and reports only to the organization's MCS console.
