Overview

Lets your Kolo agent view and control Chrome, with your permission, when paired with the Kolo desktop app.

Kolo for Chrome connects your browser to the Kolo desktop app so your Kolo assistant can help with real browser tasks: opening a page, reading its content, clicking, typing and taking a screenshot of a tab, always with your permission. You can also teach Kolo a task by doing it once in Chrome while Kolo learns. The extension does nothing on its own. It only acts when the paired Kolo desktop app, running on the same Mac, sends a request you approved in the app first, and it records only while you are teaching Kolo. The extension is the hands; the app is where you decide. What it can do, when you ask Kolo to: • Open a URL in a tab • Read the visible text of the current page • Take a screenshot of a tab • Click or type into a page • Keep the tabs Kolo opens together in a blue "Kolo" tab group, so you always see what Kolo is working in Teach Kolo: • Recording starts only when you start Teach Kolo in the Kolo desktop app, and stops when you stop it: Stop Learning on the banner, in the toolbar popup, or in the Kolo app • While it runs, web pages show a "Kolo is learning" banner with Stop Learning, and the toolbar icon shows REC • It records the steps you take in Chrome: the pages you visit, what you click, which fields you type into, the forms you submit, and when you switch tabs. What you type is kept only for search boxes, date and time fields, sliders, color pickers, and the options you pick in lists, checkboxes and radio buttons. Anything else you type is recorded only as how many characters it was, never the text • Password fields, and values Kolo recognizes as card numbers, one-time codes and similar secrets, are never recorded, not even their length • The steps stay on your Mac. When you build the skill, they are sent to Kolo and to the AI model providers listed on Kolo's sub-processors page (kolo.ai/subprocessors) to write it, and Kolo does not keep them Privacy: the extension talks only to the Kolo app on your own computer. It does not show ads, run analytics, or sell your data. See the privacy policy for details.
