ChatGPT Export allows you to keep the full conversation, only your prompts, only assistant responses, individual messages, or a custom selection. You can search within the current conversation, filter prompts and responses, and select the parts that matter before creating your file. This is especially useful when a long chat contains only a few answers, explanations, code blocks, tables, or other sections that you want to keep. The extension also supports working with multiple conversations. From the All Chats view, you can search your available conversation library and choose individual conversations, recent chats, visible search results, or a custom group. Multiple conversations can be packaged into an organized ZIP archive with separate folders and an export report, helping you keep larger collections easier to manage. Regular, archived, and project conversations are supported when they are available from the signed-in account. An optional message-level export action can appear alongside the controls beneath individual ChatGPT messages. Selecting it opens the exporter with that specific message already selected, which makes it easier to save an important answer from a long conversation without searching for it again. The message-level action can also be disabled from the extension settings if you prefer a cleaner interface. Built-in search and filtering tools make larger conversations easier to manage. You can search conversation content, filter prompts and assistant responses, and select individual messages before creating a file. When working with multiple chats, you can also search the available conversation library and choose exactly which conversations to include. Additional export options let you control what content is included. Depending on the conversation and selected output type, you can include or exclude images, attached files, source links, visible rich outputs, and export metadata. This makes it possible to create either a more complete archive or a lighter version containing only the content you need. Depending on the selected output type and the content available in the conversation, ChatGPT Export can preserve useful structure such as user and assistant roles, headings, paragraphs, lists, code blocks, tables, links, quotes, images, visible rich content, and conversation metadata.
