Personal WhatsApp reminder helper — send templated messages to your existing contacts, one at a time.

waping is a personal reminder-sending helper for people who already message the same group of contacts on a regular basis — customers with upcoming appointments, clients waiting on a follow-up, a class or team that needs the same update. Instead of opening each chat by hand and retyping the same message, you write one or more template variants, pick the recipients who already have your number saved, and waping sends them one at a time through your own WhatsApp Web session in your own browser tab — the same tab you'd use if you were sending manually. There is no server, no bulk-messaging API, and no telemetry: waping only automates the clicking and typing you would otherwise do yourself. This extension is built for individuals and small operators messaging people who already know them: a tutor reminding students of class times, a clinic confirming appointments, a small shop following up with existing customers, a coach messaging their own team. It is not a marketing tool, and it is not built for reaching people who haven't given you their number expecting to hear from you. waping is an independent, unofficial project and is not produced, endorsed, sponsored by, or affiliated with WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc. in any way. WhatsApp's Terms of Service restrict the use of unauthorized or automated clients, and using waping — including for entirely legitimate personal reminders — carries a real risk of your WhatsApp account being flagged, rate-limited, or banned by WhatsApp's own anti-spam systems. This risk exists independent of how the messages are used. Please read WhatsApp's Terms of Service and decide for yourself whether that risk is acceptable before using this extension. We strongly recommend using a secondary phone number, not your primary one, and never using waping to contact people who have not given you their number expecting to hear from you. Features: a recipient picker for contacts you paste in once and reuse; multiple message template variants (with a per-recipient {{name}} placeholder) so a batch doesn't read as identical copy-paste text; an optional image attachment per send batch; a randomized interval between sends (30–180 seconds, ±30%) plus a configurable daily send cap, both aimed at approximating manual, human-paced sending rather than a burst of automated traffic; per-message delivery confirmation and a searchable send log you can export as CSV; and a dry-run mode to preview a batch before anything is actually sent. Some features — saving contacts, saving templates, and starting the send queue — require a time-limited activation code. Codes are issued directly by the developer, are not sold or distributed through the Chrome Web Store, and are unrelated to Google's review of this listing. You can browse the interface and try dry runs without a code; a code is only required once you want to save data or actually send. Every piece of data waping touches — your contact list, your message templates, your send log, and your activation status — is stored locally in chrome.storage.local, on your own device. Nothing is copied to any server the developer operates, there is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and there is no advertising of any kind. The only thing that ever leaves your machine is the WhatsApp message itself, sent through your own logged-in WhatsApp Web session exactly as if you had typed and clicked it yourself. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
