While you read, you can jump straight to the passage you need, strip out ads that break your focus, have AI summarize the key points, translate foreign-language text as you select it, and look up unfamiliar words — then save the article and its media in a clean form. Everything happens on the page you're already reading, with no tab switching and no copy-pasting. Also included · Smart Writing & Polishing — Polish, correct, and continue text in any input field on the page, useful when writing up what you've read. · Element Inspector — Inspect an element's properties and colors, and pick any pixel on the page with the eyedropper. About the new tab page KnowIt replaces the new tab page with a start page that serves as the entry point to the tools above, along with a search box and a few shortcuts. That search box uses the official Chrome Search API (chrome.search) to send your query to whichever search engine you have already set as your browser default. KnowIt does not change, override, or proxy your search settings. Privacy Your search history, records, and settings are stored locally on your machine by default. Page content is never uploaded to a KnowIt server. When you use an AI feature, the content goes only to the model service you configured yourself, and your API key is stored only in your browser's local storage.
