Translate YouTube Live captions, audio, and chat on-device with timestamps—no API key or server upload.

LIVO first reads captions displayed by the YouTube player and translates them with Chrome's on-device translation feature. Only when no caption appears for 8 seconds does LIVO attempt Chrome local speech recognition on the current tab audio. If neither path is available, LIVO shows an availability notice instead of calling a paid external API. Requirements and limitations: - Desktop Chrome 138 or later - Chrome on-device Translator support and the relevant language model - Missing packs are installed only after consent. Chrome selects and updates the latest compatible model; LIVO cannot force a specific model version. - Videos without YouTube captions require Chrome local SpeechRecognition and the relevant language pack - DVR-disabled live streams cannot seek to earlier timestamps LIVO is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by YouTube or Google. LIVO does not block or bypass YouTube advertising, player controls, or chat functionality.
