Badge design / styling

Hi there, I really like the functionality and wondered if the styling of the badge can somehow be altered? I have some other apps with unread badges (e.g. Slack) and would like to align the styling of all unread badges.

Count is wrong

The count stopped updating. How do I refresh the count?
