Overview
Follow any topic across the web through its tags: every hashtag, at-tag and cash tag you read links to its linx page on CNXT.
Follow any topic across the web through its tags. #://CNXT $://THeXTeNSioN is a free Chrome extension for following topics across sites. Every #hashtag, $cashtag and @handle you read becomes a tag link to its public linx page on CNXT, where verified pages with the same tag collect from across the web. Tag links keep the page's own typeface and colour, marked only by a thin underline. With a free CNXT account, one press of the CNXT mark adds the page to its tag's linx page once CNXT verifies it. A mining console lists every mined tag linx. ━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES • Links every #hashtag, @handle and $cashtag on the page to its tag's linx page on CNXT. Each tag link keeps the page's own typeface, size and colour and is marked only by a thin CNXT underline, so a linked tag reads as part of the sentence it was found in — not as an ad dropped on top of it. • Opens a small CNXT card beside any linx you hover over or reach with the keyboard: open the linx, search it in #://FiNDR, or open the tag's #://XPLR map of related tags. On a tag's card, press Look up to see the tag's live public standing — its status, its verified cnxts and miners, when it was last verified, its operator's storefront when it has one, and its verified counts per platform. Hovering sends nothing; Look up sends only that tag, never the page's address and never your sign-in. An address's card offers open and #://FiNDR only. A switch in the popup turns the cards off. • Marks the tags that have no verified cnxt yet with a dashed blue underline in place of the solid red one, and shows on the CNXT mark how many of the page's tags are in that state. It works from the public list of cnxtd tags, which the extension downloads about once an hour with no cookies and no sign-in, and compares in your browser — nothing about the page is sent for it. When that list is missing, out of date or incomplete, no tag is marked: a tag whose standing is unknown is never shown as never-cnxtd. • Places a CNXT mark at the bottom center of any page. Press it to cnxt that page into the linx that owns its tag — its address, title, a visible-text excerpt, its declared language, the size of its HTML and its tags; never the HTML itself. On the search, hashtag, profile and feed pages of supported social platforms, or a Google results page, it cnxts the tagged posts on screen instead, each under its own address with only its own tags, and never the listing page itself. Where no tagged post can be picked out, a press sends nothing. • Makes every CNXT address written out in full clickable — #://CNXT, $://THeXTeNSioN, @://… — wherever it is posted. A click resolves the address on CNXT: an edition opens its page, or its 1-of-1 storefront once it is held; a tag opens its linx page; a CNXT service opens itself. Addresses are linked only. They are not tags, and they are never counted, sent or paid. • Shows your position in the toolbar: what the network has allocated, how many tag linx exist, how many cnxts you have made, and what you have earned. Every figure is read live from the network; when a read fails the field says so instead of showing a zero. • Connects to your free CNXT account from the toolbar popup; the captures you make while signed in are stored against that account. • Opens a mining console listing every mined tag linx with its address, its capture count, its miner count, and when it was first seen. ━━━━━ 1-OF-1 A tag linx is a single address, held once. The first miner to cnxt a tag is the one who condenses it out of the page and into the network. There is no second copy to mine. ━━━━━ WHAT IT PAYS — AND WHAT IT DOES NOT Mining pays the miner up to 12¢ per verified capture in $://USD, credited to the miner's CNXTPaY wallet in two halves, each judged on its own. The network half, 6¢ from the network's data-and-marketing allocation, arrives as issued network capital — spendable across CNXT, not withdrawable. The owner half, 6¢ from the tag tranche the owner-operator of an edition funds with legal tender, arrives as settled money, withdrawable after the 10-day cash-out hold. A tag no owner-operator funds pays only the network half. The conditions are stated here rather than discovered later: • Payable only on pages the network can read for itself. Before a cnxt is paid or published, the CNXT server reads the address anonymously — no login, no cookies, never your session — and pays only for tags it finds in what it read. On some major platforms, whose pages answer an anonymous reader with a login wall, it reads the platform's public record of the individual post instead. A page it cannot read — behind a login, or served to it as an empty shell — is still recorded, marked unverified, and paid nothing. Your browser's word is never worth money. • Payable inside the CNXT networx only. Two lanes qualify: shared-apex platforms where tags are natively written and read, and domains the networx already carries as real organisations. Everywhere else is "unlisted" — the capture is still recorded, the tag still becomes a linx and still routes, but no cents are paid. The owner half is narrower still: it pays only on the feed domain set that tag tranches cover. • "Unlisted" is not a judgement about a site. It is the ordinary condition of most of the web, including sites that are entirely legitimate. It means only that the networx does not currently reach that domain. • Spend is bounded by uniqueness and funding, not by preference, and no time-based limit applies. Tags are 1-of-1, a given miner/page/linx triple pays once, and no miner is paid more than a tenth of any one tranche. • The network's allocation is issued capital that kickstarts mining, and no network half outruns it; no owner half outruns its tranche. When the allocation is unfunded the extension says so on its own face: mining still records data, and the network half accrues nothing from it. • Who owns the domain and who wrote the tag do not enter the price. What is bought is a 1-of-1 tag and the page cnxtd into it — not a claim of authorship, and not a claim of title to the host. ━━━━━ NO TRAFFIC DATA. NONE. There is no traffic, ranking, popularity or reputation measurement anywhere in this network. None is collected and none is inferred. A quiet listed domain earns; a busy unlisted one does not. ━━━━━ WHAT IT READS, AND WHEN IT SENDS The content script reads the page you are on in order to find tags and build the linx. Nothing about the page leaves your browser until you press the CNXT mark yourself — the handler accepts only a real, trusted press from the person at the keyboard, so a page cannot trigger a capture on your behalf. Look up follows the same rule: only a real press sends anything, and what it sends is the one tag — not the page. On its own, the extension reads two public things from CNXT: the network's allocation figure every five minutes and the cnxtd-tag list about once an hour, neither carrying anything about the pages you visit. When you connect your account, CNXT issues the extension a sign-in of its own. The extension keeps it on your device, sends it only to CNXT, and deletes it when you disconnect; CNXT keeps only a one-way hash of it. ━━━━━ WHAT IT IS, IN PLAIN TERMS • Hashtag, cashtag and @handle parser: finds #, $ and @ tags in a page's text and turns each into a link — a CNXT linx — in the page's own typeface. CNXT addresses written out in full (#://, @://, $://) become links too. • Tag-to-address linking: every tag resolves to one web+usd:// address on the CNXT network; the same tag is the same linx everywhere. • 1-of-1 tag mining: the first miner to cnxt a tag holds that tag linx; a mining console lists every mined linx with its address, capture count, miner count and first-seen time. • Linx cards: hover or focus a linx to open it, search it in #://FiNDR or open the tag's #://XPLR map; Look up reads a tag's live public standing on press. Tags with no verified cnxt yet are marked from a public list, compared locally. • Page capture on demand: one deliberate press of the CNXT mark sends the page's address, title, a visible-text excerpt, its declared language, the length of its HTML (never the HTML itself) and its tags to CNXT — or, on a platform's listing page, each tagged post's address, its tags and the page's language, and nothing when no tagged post can be picked out — nothing before, nothing else. • Zero tracking: no analytics, no browsing history, no third-party requests, no traffic or popularity measurement of any kind. The extension talks to a single CNXT origin and no other host.
