WHAT NOTEPIK FOR CHROME DOES Two buttons, one goal: never lose what was said in a meeting. 1. Record this tab, with no bot Open your call in a Chrome tab, click the extension and press Record. Notepik captures the sound of the call's tab and, if you allow it, your microphone, so both sides of the conversation are in the recording. When you stop, the recording uploads to your Notepik workspace and is transcribed and written up automatically. Nothing joins the call, so it works for Google Meet, Zoom in the browser, Microsoft Teams in the browser, Webex in the browser, and almost any other web call that plays in a Chrome tab. 2. Send the Notepik Notetaker to the call Prefer a visible notetaker? On a Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Webex meeting link, one click sends the Notepik Notetaker to the call. It joins as a named participant everyone can see, records the meeting, and labels each line of the transcript with the speaker's name. The popup also shows your next meetings from your own connected calendar and your workspace's latest write-ups, so the notes from your last call are one click away. Recordings are protected against browser hiccups: the audio is saved on your computer every ten seconds while you record, so if Chrome restarts mid-call, the extension offers to upload what was captured instead of losing the meeting. A recording stops by itself after four hours. TRANSCRIPTION IN MANY LANGUAGES Transcription is not English-only. A meeting held in French, Arabic or another language is transcribed and written up in that language. The extension and the Notepik workspace are available in English, French and Arabic. RECORD RESPONSIBLY The Notepik Notetaker is always visible in the participant list. Recording a tab with the extension does not announce itself to the other people on the call, so before you record, tell them. Recording laws differ by country and state, and some require everyone's consent. For the Zoom or Teams desktop app, send the Notetaker to the meeting link. Does it record my microphone too? If you allow it. Notepik asks for microphone access once, so your own voice is in the recording along with the other participants. Will the transcript show who said what? With the Notetaker in the call, each line carries the speaker's name. A tab recording labels speakers as Speaker A, Speaker B and so on. How soon are the notes ready? A few minutes after the meeting ends. Notepik does not show live captions during the call. Where are my recordings stored? In your Notepik workspace, where you and your teammates can search, share or delete them. Can I use it in languages other than English? Yes.
