SafeMail Guard is a privacy-focused Gmail security extension that analyzes the email you are currently viewing and helps identify phishing, spam, suspicious links, sender anomalies, and other risky indicators. SafeMail Guard is designed to work on the currently opened Gmail message rather than continuously scanning your entire inbox. KEY FEATURES • Current-message Gmail analysis Analyze the email you are currently viewing for suspicious sender information, phishing indicators, risky content, and potentially harmful links. • Risk score See a clear 0–100 risk score with Safe, Needs Review, or Dangerous status. • Sender and authentication analysis Review the sender name, email address, organizational-domain relationship, mailed-by/signed-by information, and available Gmail security indicators. • Suspicious-link detection SafeMail Guard analyzes links in the currently viewed message and identifies potentially suspicious destinations or link patterns. • Clear explanations See why an email was classified as Safe, Needs Review, or Dangerous. • Local learning Use Mark Safe or Report Spam/Phishing to correct the extension's assessment. Your corrections are stored locally in your browser and can influence future analysis on that device. • Privacy-focused design SafeMail Guard is designed to perform its primary analysis locally in the browser. It does not require your Gmail password or Google account credentials. • No continuous inbox scanning The extension is designed to analyze the Gmail message you are viewing rather than continuously scan your entire inbox. • No Google Web Risk SafeMail Guard does not require or use Google Web Risk. • No live community reputation server The current release does not use a live community reputation server. IMPORTANT SafeMail Guard is a security-assistance tool and cannot guarantee that every malicious message will be detected. Always review suspicious messages carefully before clicking links, opening attachments, or providing sensitive information. PRIVACY SafeMail Guard is designed to minimize information leaving your browser. Email analysis is primarily performed locally, and local learning classifications are stored in Chrome extension storage.
