AI Media Detector

Highlights AI-generated images and videos with a colorful border and notifies you when you scroll to them.

See at a glance which images and videos on the web are AI generated, and scan a whole page in one go. AI Media Detector puts a colorful border around AI-generated images and videos as you browse, and shows a Detection Summary when one scrolls into view: a thumbnail, exactly why it was flagged, and a "Show" button that jumps straight to it. NEW: AI SCAN One click in the toolbar and AI Scan scrolls the page for you, then lists every AI image and video it found in one window. • Sort newest or oldest first, or group by type in the order you choose. • Show only images or only videos, and hide any verdict. • Pause and resume anytime; Stop closes it. • Download the list as a CSV spreadsheet. • Drag the window anywhere, resize it, and fold or rearrange its sections. NEW: THEMES One click changes the whole look: borders, colors, the AI Scan window and its animated background. Choose from 18 ready-made themes, including a seasonal Halloween set, or save up to 5 of your own. Pick one on the Settings page, or from the icon in the toolbar window or the AI Scan window. NEW: NIGHT DRIVE An optional retro arcade theme for the AI Scan window. As AI Scan finds images, they roll down a neon highway with their alert borders, and your car runs over the AI ones while avoiding the rest. Let it drive itself, or switch to Manual and steer with the arrow keys. Score points to unlock new cars and new scenery, with a finale and a bonus round for those who reach the end. MAKE IT YOURS • Animated backgrounds, border styles and color schemes. • Several looks for the AI Scan button, the results list, the filters and the summary, switchable right in the window. • Corner labels on flagged images, and a Detection Summary you can drag, resize and place where you like. HOW IT DECIDES • AI Generated: the file itself says so, through Content Credentials (C2PA) or IPTC labels added by many AI tools, image generator settings saved in the file, or a site's own AI label. • AI Edited: a real photo partly changed with AI, such as generative fill. • Likely AI: the page suggests it, for example the image is hosted on an AI generator site, its caption or alt text says AI, or it was posted in an AI art community. Every flag comes with a plain-English "Why it was flagged". RIGHT-CLICK: CHECK FOR AI Unsure about a picture? Right-click it and choose "Check for AI" for a clear answer, including "No AI signs found". OPTIONAL PIXEL ANALYSIS Many social sites strip AI labels from uploads. Add your own Sightengine API key in Settings to analyze the pixels of images you right-click, images as they come into view, or images AI Scan finds. A built-in tracker shows how much of your free allowance you've used. WORKS WITH Any website, with extra support for popular social sites and marketplaces. Images, video posts and direct video files. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, tracking or analytics. Checks run in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you add a Sightengine key yourself. Note: no detector is perfect. A missing border does not prove an image is real.
